Shelby and Courtlan's Love Story

Over the past year, we have had the pleasure of getting to know the sweetest couple, Shelby and Courtlan. They started off as our clients and now they are dear friends. I love the friendships we make along the way - it's little things like this that make my heart the happiest. Before I share this lovely couple's wedding, here's a peep at their engagement pictures because they are simply too precious not to show.

And let's not forget the star of the engagement shoot... French Louie of course.

A few short months later, the big day everyone had been waiting for was finally here. Shelby's beautiful girl squad of bridesmaids filled her day with excitement and all around joy.

This day wouldn't have been possible without the love and support of the beautiful (inside and out) mother of the bride, Carrie.

The look on the bridesmaids' faces when they saw Shelby in her gown = best friend goals.

Courtlan and his groomsmen were dashing as ever! They even celebrated a little with a round of "Cheers" while getting ready.

French Louie stealing kisses from the bride and brother!

Detailed shots are some of my favorite, because it's the small things that make such a big difference. The sweet Mrs. Box from BHLDN was the finishing touch. Delicate calligraphy was done by the talented A Fine Flourish

The bridesmaids each modeled the light grey Adrianna Papell jeweled dress. They complemented Shelby's color palette so well. The artistic Fawn with F. Dellit Designs used soft blushes and vibrant greens to make the most elegant bouquets.

It was such an honor to get to know this wedding party. They were such a phenomenal group to stand beside the happy couple on their big day. The adorable flower girls and ring bearer might've slightly stolen the show however...

The most exciting part of the whole day... seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day! This first look was so heart warming.

A moment that only happens once - such a precious and intimate father and daughter moment. Walking his little girl down the aisle to her forever!

And just like that, the wedding bells rang and they became the new Mr. and Mrs. Janik!

The reception to follow was at the Crystal Ballroom. The decor and centerpieces Shelby had picked out were simply exquisite. The gold accents accentuated the classy and whimsical vibes from the venue. The chandeliers fit Shelby's taste perfectly.

The three most important wedding dances - there was truly not a dry eye in the house for these songs.

Saying grace before dinner, it was such an awe moment. The power of Jesus' precious love surrounded the room and filled Shelby and Courtlan.

A sweet southern-style meal was the obvious and delicious choice!

Cakes done by Who Made The Cake - Shelby surprised Courtlan with a charming French Louie cake!

Shelby and Courtlan were the lives of the party! DJS knew exactly how to keep the crowd dancing. This night was such a celebration of love and will be always be so cherished.

And for the finale... a proper send off for the lovebirds!

Shelby and Courtlan -  cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness. We adore you guys! XOXO
